Heal’s Olive Walnut chest of drawers c 1960 . Produced for Heal’s by Loughborough Furniture and designed by Ward and Austin . We bought this stylish quality chest along with other items from the daughter of a family who purchased at Heal’s from c 1960 to c 1968 . This was the only item with a Heal’s label , and came with the original Loughborough Furniture catalogue from 1959 , where the range was described as being available from Heal + Son Ltd .
It is a fantastic size and is beautifully designed. The quality is amazing, and this has lots of storage space. The lower drawer is double depth, and there is also a small divided compartment in the second drawer down for cuff links/jewellery etc. It is made from a beautiful, light coloured which is offset nicely by the brass handles.
