This set of five teak nesting tables was designed by poul hundevad in the 1960s for novy domov in former czechoslovakia.
Coming of age as a Danish designer in the mid-century period meant that Hundevad was also concerned about functionality and flexibility in his designs.
In the mid-century period multi-purpose furniture was very popular. This trend's roots lie in the Scandinavian heritage of small, efficient homes that required adaptable furniture. This wonderful piece from Poul Hundevad is great example of this design philosophy and beautifully illustrates his interest in form and practicality.
